Simon Pearce's BURGUNDY WINE DINNER Host: Craig Drollet from importer Frederick Wildman

Enjoy a wine dinner featuring wines from Burgundy, France. Our host will be Craig Drollet, New England Regional Manager for importer Frederick Wildman and Sons, LTD.

A wine connoisseur, Frederick Wildman purchased and renamed Bellows and Co. Wine Importers in 1934, following the repeal of prohibition. Mr. Wildman summarized his philosophy on selecting wines as follows: "Business, and particularly the wine business, should be conducted as to bring pleasure, pride and friendship to those engaged in it." The Wildman portfolio has continued to grow, adding fine wines from Champagne, the Rhone and the Medoc. Today, the distinct Frederick Wildman and Sons seal is widely recognized as a sign of quality.

Annual Vermont Maple Open House Weekend

Visit Sugarbush Farm to see how maple sap is boiled over a roaring wood fire to make maple syrup. Sample syrup, cheese and Vermont made products and shop in the farm store. Learn about the various grades of maple syrup and visit with the actual sugarmaker. Sap flows and the boiling schedule are determined by cold nights and warm days, which establish the exact hours of syrup production.
